History of the "Beach Boys"

Grown up under the hot California sun in the atmosphere of serene beach fun sweet-voiced brothers Wilson have decided to organize their own band. Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love and friend Alan Dzherdayn have recorded their first disc in 1961, in which they treid to reflect everything they were worried about.First of all it was surfing. More there was nothing to sing about, so they got a plate with only one song: "Surfin '". At first guys performed as "The Pendletones", "Carl And The Passions" and "Kenny And The Cadets", but after a while stopped on the name "Beach boys". After the first single of the group happened unbelievable. Mushy beat and greasy wordiness of the "beach boys" have attracted the attention of serious men from the "Capitol Records". "Beach Boys", after signing a contract, were inspired to create. The next composition was harmonically a little bit complicated and more serious: "Surfin 'Safari". As a result, positions in the charts became higher - 14th place.

The sky is not the limit, in 1963, "Beach Boys" recorded another masterpiece. At this time they decided to look at the world more broadly: a song called "Surfin 'USA". In the opinion of the majority of listener, this anthem of the undisturbed American life was worth to climb the top of the national hit parade. It rised up, leaving behind (at the 7 th line), another creation of the same "gold" album: "Surfer Girl". "Beach Boys" were acknowladged as national heroes, and the new genre "surf rock" was created. Signs of genius of Brian can be recognized in the beautiful melodies, nice arrangements and in harmonized with music pattern texts.

In the midst of Beatls-mania "Beach Boys" have managed to arrange an alternative with a composition of "I Get Around" that not only led USA charts but also entered the British hit parade. After a bunch of hits ( "Fun, Fun, Fun", "Help Me Ronda", "California Girls", etc.) and the triumph tours around the world, Brian fells suddenly, and the concerts of the "Beach Boys" suddenly stopped. The case was that that the Wilson-chief, one of the most prominent melodist of modernity, in an exciting competition with the "Beatles" stumbled on the mysterious album of the Liverpool quartet called "Rubber Soul", that represented music of already another level. Brian alone, without a help of his brothers and other relatives began to prepare a response. The new product of the "Beach Boys" was named "Pet Sounds". Yankees out of habit, began to buy up, but it did not even "smell" with the usual surf-pop from the plate. As a result, in the U.S. the album failed, but on the other side of the ocean was a great success.

Brian once again settled into the studio and has finished the single "Good Vibrations" within a half of the year. Hearing struck an unusual structure of "vibration": the sound that is made up of different movements, which merged, then disintegrated and then merged again. "Good Vibrations" has finally been accepted not only in Britain. Another masterpiece of "Beach Boys" led all the prestigious hit-parades of the world, including USA.

In the second half of the 70's "Beach Boys" came close to disbanding of the team. Flared up a conflict between Dennis and Mike, and if more accurate - between Wilson and lavas. In the end, group survived, but the brothers Stan and Steve lava were excluded from management. Wilson won, and the popularity of the "Beaches" gains momentum once again. In the early 80's "Beach Boys" with a cover-version of the song "Come Go With Me" of the group "Del-Vikings" even returned back to the tops. At the end of 1985, the group under the leadership of Brian released unexpectedly strong collection of "The Beach Boys". Triumphal procession, however, the album on the world's hit parade suddenly ended with the termination of the contract with the record company. However, "Beach Boys" endured this nuance, and the most beautiful single "California Dreaming" was a striking proof.

In 1998 Carl Wilson died of cancer. The remaining "Beach Boys" to their 40th birth day decicided to remaster 16 of their most popular albums.
